Customized Prenatal Sessions

Nicole offers two in-home sessions lasting about 1-2 hours. The first appointment is to discuss previous births, decisions regarding your pregnancy & labor, and what is important to you. Nicole will learn about you and your feelings towards birth and factors that influence your thoughts. Together you will evaluate your goals and priorities. As your doula, Nicole will establish how to meet your goals and communicate your preferences to your birth team. Nicole will provide you with necessary tools to help make decisions or clarify options available to you. During the second in-home appointment, Nicole will spend time with you and your partner to help you discover relaxing and calming comfort techniques and ways to cope in childbirth. As a client, you have complimentary access to any of the educational courses that Nicole teaches

On Call Support

Nicole offers unlimited phone and email support as soon as you secure your deposit for services. Once you reach 37 weeks and have paid in full, Nicole provides 24/7 support for early labor up to the birth of your child. Nicole makes herself available to answer your questions as they come and can make suggestions to alleviate discomfort the final weeks of pregnancy. There will be NO extra charges for “false alarms”. When requested to come, Nicole will meet you at your home or hospital of your choice.

Birth and Delivery Support

However you decide you want to deliver your child, Nicole respects your birth choice. The only opinion that matters is yours. Whether you deliver your child naturally, during a elective induction or by cesarean- what matters is that you were educated and informed of your decisions. Nicole will provide unlimited support to you and spouse or support persons. Nicole incorporates ways for the father to assist where you both feel is most comfortable.  I can meet you at home or in the hospital for early labor. Support comes in many different ways depending on the family. If requested I will document the birth where photography and video are allowed. I will offer different coping and comfort techniques as well as position changes if necessary to make space for baby to descend.

Lactation Support

After birth Nicole will stay 1 hour to ensure breastfeeding is established and answer any questions. She will address any issues that would affect breastfeeding. If requested Nicole will stay longer, but typically leaves while your new family bonds.

Postpartum Support

Get the rest you need to recover! This highly recommended visit is a favorite of every client. One postpartum visit is included with your Birth Package. This is used to discuss your birth and talk about any mood disorders or risks/links associated with postpartum depression and/or anxiety. Along with, you get to indulge in a hot meal as Nicole helps with light house work. Get some needed rest while Nicole tends to baby. Additional postpartum visits are available upon request but must be used within 6 weeks of your birth.

 Bereavement Services

Before becoming a doula, Nicole had close friends and family members that experienced unexpected pregnancy loss. Knowing the reality that not every pregnancy and birth have a happy outcome, Nicole felt it necessary to study in bereavement. Because of this training, Nicole can also better suit the needs of parents who are faced with an unexpected NICU stay. As a Certified StillBirthday Bereavement Doula, Nicole offers valuable resources to the families that are grieving the loss of their baby- in any trimester; because the amount of grief a parent experiences does not correlate to the length of pregnancy or the size of their baby. Trained in tactile skills such as 3-D plaster molds, prints and special keepsake momentos Nicole is able to help bereaved parents capture moments with their precious baby.  Bereavement services are free but should you feel inclined, any love offerings are accepted.

If you’re expecting and your baby has been diagnosed with a fatal anomaly and are considering abortion I would encourage you to first contact HerHealth.
